A samll town rich in culture and a magnificent beach gives us the most stunning sunsets, perfect for those looking to be in peace with themselves and the environment around: “San Francisco, Nayarit”, familiarly known as “San Pancho”.
The life here has an easy rhythm. It is a town with its old essence but combining the facilities of a modern place where a traveler can find the best attractions for a special and comfortable stay.
Cultural centers, galleries, artisan bakeries, cafeterias, modest restaurants and refined ones make part of the tourism offering in this spot. There are also a golf course and a polo field that attract pro and amateur players from all over to practice these sophisticated sports.
The streets are cleverly named, as they take us to faraway places such as Asia, Africa, Egypt, Thailand, they even have their own Golden Gate, not in San Francisco, California, but in San Francisco, Nayarit.
Since 17 years ago the San Pancho Music fest is celebrated here, a three-day fiesta gathering international artists and of course regional and local artists as well.
This February 24 the 2017 edition begins at the Plaza del Sol. The event kicks off at 5 pm every day, with acts performing up to 11 in the evening. An ample variety of food and drinks will be available to buy in the plaza and its surroundings. A limited number of chairs and tables will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so come early!
The festival is supported by the generous donations of the attendees, as well as by the local residents and businesses.

Born in the central region of Mexico, but having lived most of her life in the beautiful state of Nayarit, Angela fell in love with this area’s landscapes and its natural beauty. With the firm conviction from an early age that she wanted to be part of the way tourism was managed in her state and the country at large, she studied a degree in Tourism Management and Development at the Technological University of Nayarit. Immediately following her studies, she immersed herself in the world of hospitality in Puerto Vallarta, an iconic city within Mexico known for its wide range of hotels. Working within this field, she took various positions, which allowed her to develop many skills such as teamwork and great service as well as to learn about the standards of operations at a large hotel complex. After taking a break from the hotel industry for personal reasons, her path met Mexico Boutique Hotels, a company that closely matched her personal convictions, which involve presenting Mexico to the world as a brand that guarantees memorable experiences thanks to its natural beauty and the excellent hospitably of its people who by their very nature provide great service and are excellent hosts. Angela currently serves as Chief E-Concierge and Travel Designer for the aforementioned company, offering travelers the opportunity to live a different experience every day, where attention to details make a huge difference.
